Real Solutions
Not ‘Net Zero’

A Global Call for Climate Action

Organizations are coming together to demand that governments around the world make commitments here and now to achieving real carbon emissions reductions and solutions, rapidly and permanently.

Net Zero pledges that cancel out emissions in the atmosphere rather than eliminating their causes are not enough.

    IPCC Synthesis Report (SYR)

The IPCC must make clear: a liveable future requires a rapid and equitable phase-out of fossil fuels, not reliance on speculative technologies.

  • Real Zero Europe

The European Commission is proposing a framework to certify carbon removals to trade as credits in carbon offset markets. Getting to Real Zero and staying below 1.5 °C of warming requires rejecting the proposal, halting emissions, and restoring ecosystems now.

  • IPCC Working Group III

As governments convene to review the latest findings of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) regarding mitigation, the stakes could not be any higher, the science any clearer, or the imperative for immediate action any greater. To avoid overshoot, the IPCC must prioritize the need to rapidly phase out fossil fuels.
